Do I need a lobby management tool?

Questions to ask before selecting a branch lobby management tool:

To determine whether or not your branches needs lobby management improvements, begin with an objective analysis of your current lobby experience:

  • How long are visitors kept waiting for service in your lobby?
  • How long does it take to open a new account?
  • Which staff members handle the most member traffic?
  • Which staff members open the most new accounts?
  • When do customer service peaks and valleys occur?
  • Are customer service needs handled confidentially?
  • How much time do staff members spend providing face-to-face client service?
  • How many new accounts are opened in each of your branches?
  • What is the primary reason clients (or potential clients) visit your organization's branches?

When answering the above questions, don't be satisfied with averages. While the average may seem reasonable, clients' needs vary depending on their circumstances. The same visitor who happily waits 20 minutes on their day off may be highly dissatisfied with a 20 minute wait on their lunch break. Carefully examine the longest wait times to determine whether or not your customers/members are receiving a satisfying client experience.
